As a part of our Stunning Start celebration at Delius our pupils had lots of opportunities to experience the new topics. Pupils could visit the farm animals outside, experience what it would be like in the jungle and learn about the hot African Plains.
To answer the question, ‘Does it rain on the Plain?’, all pupils got to experience the hot and dry Savanna Desserts replicated in our Immersive Room which brought a life like experience of the hot and dry environment. Our pupils also got to experience the cultural side of the Plains, exploring different patterned fabrics and traditional African Music in our Courtyard Hut.
To answer the question ‘What do we find on the farm?’ our pupils got the opportunity to see real life farm animals. The farm included a donkey, a Shetland pony, lambs, chickens, pigs, rabbits and goats. Pupils were amazed to see the different farm animals outside their school and were even able to stroke them. They also explored a range of vegetables and materials that you would find on the farm.
