Multi-Sports After School Club

Our Multi-Sports After School Club run by Bradford Disability Sport gives pupils to opportunity to develop their Sport and social skills at the same time. The specialist sport coach leads the session consisting of lots of fun and engaging mini games, with a variety of equipment.

The pupils who attend the club love the opportunity to progress their physical skills, and interact with pupils from across the school!
The Multi-Sports Club is currently at the BD3 site on Tuesdays. This sport club switches between both sites depending on term, so that pupils from both sites get to access the club.

Music Lunch and After School Club

Our Music Club runs on Thursdays, with Tom, a music specialist. Our Music Lunch Time Club currently runs within our Galaxy Pathway as a Music Therapy session. Pupils have the opportunity to develop their listening skills by being exposed to a vast variety of different instruments.

Our pupils then get the opportunity to explore instruments with intent, and make sounds and music together as a group.

Our Music After School Club is accessed by pupils across different Pathways around school. During the club our pupils get to work together as a musical group to create compositions and music using a vast variety of different instruments.

If you would like your child to access Music club, please speak to your class teacher for more information.

Active Club takes place every lunch time in the Soft Play room. It is great for pupils who need to get a bit of energy out during lunch time, develop their physical skills as well as getting the opportunity to play with friends from other classes/pathways!

The School Council

The Delius School Council meet every half term to consider all aspects of school life that affect the pupils, staff and the learning that takes place. The council help take the views of pupil colleagues through a variety of means. They are helped by members of the teaching staff who support them in communication and actions.

The pupils on the Delius school council were elected by fellow pupils. Together the council communicate their ‘likes and dislikes’ at school, suggestions for areas such as outdoor play areas, their preferred meal choices at lunch time and even what they like or dislike about the School Improvement Plan.

The school council begin by discussing the importance of democracy and respecting each other views beliefs and opinions. And how these are Fundamental British Values.

These are some of the identified actions that the Delius School Council may consider in the next school year:

  • Parent and child clubs
  • Better improved
